Crime Prevention Research Center Linked directly to His Excellency the Minister of Interior, It was established in 1974, It was named (Office of Crime Prevention). As a result of the development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, The Center's activities and functions have increased to become a scientific center specialized in the study of crime in various aspects. The Center aims to study the causes and circumstances that result in criminal behaviour and behavioural delinquency, and then attempts to explain deviant behaviour mechanisms in order to prepare and implement prevention programs based on systematic and scientific knowledge, and thus control complex criminal behaviour. And adjust it. The Center directs its specialized studies to the fields of control and prevention at the same time.
The Center employs a group of academics and specialists in the field of sociology, psychology, criminology and statistics. The Center also conducted studies in the form of joint projects with the United Nations and the International Council for Alcohol and Addiction Studies in Lausanne, Switzerland, and its branch in Cairo, as well as cooperation with universities in the field of scientific research on issues related to the Center.
