Ministry of interior security spokesman Colonel Talal bin Shalhoub said that the security forces' monitoring of the criminal activities of networks trafficking narcotics and the information provided by the Saudi Ministry of Interior's General Directorate of Narcotics Control to its counterpart agency, the Royal Malaysian Customs Department, has foiled an attempt to smuggle 302.2 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a container with soybeans coming from a country.
The spokesman highlighted the positive cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Malaysia in tracking and seizing narcotic substances, and stressed that the Kingdom continues to pursue criminal activities targeting its security and youth with drugs across the world, combat such networks, thwart their attempts and arrest the individuals involved.
