Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, affirmed that taking care of the safety of citizens and residents is a priority of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who always directs to maintain the safety and security for the citizens and residents in the Kingdom.
This came during Prince Mohammed bin Naif's launch of an electronic Salamah (safety) service yesterday in his office at the Ministry of Interior (MOI).
The new electronic service has been launched by the General Directorate of Civil Defense to enable companies' owners to get safety licenses electronically, without a need to visit civil defense departments.
The Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques said the maintenance of safety and stability for all people is an MOI strategic goal, adding that in its drive to develop its services, the Ministry works to make use of technology to facilitate procedures, and save time and effort for citizens and residents.
He thanked the civil defense men for their devoted efforts toward their religion and the country, stressing the importance of including citizens in the work of Civil Defense through the available technology and social media, adding: “We are all security men.”
The Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques watched a presentation on the Civil Defense and another presentation on the Salamah service at the beginning of the meeting, and was briefed on the new service.
For his part, Lt. General Sulaiman bin Abdullah Al-Amr, Director General of Civil Defense, said Salamah is part of the electronic services the Civil Defense's plans to launch to facilitate safety procedures for citizens and residents.
He added that the first stage of these services will be launched in Makkah, Riyadh and the Eastern region.
